Ok, before you get too excited (or repulsed)... the end of the first season of 'Dancing on Ice' has concluded... now... i know you know who won!!! Jake Wall of Course!!! haha, ever since LFC 06 madness with the Tanners, its been non-stop Jake Wall payouts!! ok... so he won this stupid show... and yes, i did watch the final last nite at mama fungies... but little did we know... he's got his own BLOG!?! http://dancingoniceblog.spaces.live.com/

Dare i say it, Jake is quite a young lad! He quotes parts of his interests...

Favourite colour: green. Favourite music: R'n'B/hip-hop. Favourite artist: Maxwell. Favourite TV show: Dancing on Ice, of course! Favourite movie: Old School. Favourite actor: Jamie Foxx. Favourite pub/club: Zeta bar in Sydney. Biggest achievement: Getting first on Dancing on Ice

... This guy has to get out more!!!!

Ok, but maybe thats just me... haha, although i will have to publicly declare that i proved myself not to be a grandma last weekend.. i didnt mention on my blog previously ...
i went out FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NITE! what a Party ANIMAL!

I even went out just before Midnite Friday! (like you would!- i was 1/2 way into the pjs and tuckin into the ever favourite electric blanket glory- mind you that was just after flying back from melbourne that nite)... after much persistence on Fi's behalf, i went out!!

It was Lou's first saturday nite back in Sydney and we had a girls nite out which was fun with her friends from Melbourne.. (whats with this theme of Melbourne? tanner madness?) and her lovely friend Susan...

Ok, now that im geeky enough to say that i've ventured out on the weekend, i'm heading to Canberra this weekend to see Margie :) Yay! (Canberra just couldnt get any more exciting!) So back to geekness and the government. i'll say hi johnnie!!

More DSE and store visits to go... and well, I'll be heading over to Perth before you know it Sal-Lee!!

enjoy jakes blog! ( and mine...) hahaha

Chicken Treat!

The ever favourite meal of choice (not for the faint-hearted vego's out there!)... Sal-lee and i talked shop regarding Lou's moving in, bills and well, being the tenants... its all fun and games! Thanks Landladee! :)

In all fun though, i cannot wait to visit Sal-lee in Perth and enjoy the Western coast beaches and Cottesloe... i was so excited when she mentioned she would take me to a place called ' Chicken Treat'... what a gret name! apparently its a 'red rooster' lookalike, but just in 'yellow'... so ... as an avid fan of all things chicken, portugese , 'ole' burgers, 'opportos' and the like.... thats just what i want to hear!!

check out www.chickentreat.com.au haha, you can 'be your own boss'... i cant believe they have such a cool website... i love the picture... its like a conscription notice... ' chicken needs you!!!' hahahahahahahha... so funny how im excited about a chicken shop and not the Perth sites.... (i consider Chicken Treat to be a perth site...)

ok.... let me know your thoughts peeps!

Gentlemen out about Town (melbourne)

Ok, i was 'told' to say that! funnily enough, my day as a roving travelling show in melbourne was topped off by the very entertaining and occasionally painful (jokes!) company of two gentlemen.. aka Si-mon and Ni-ck!

Now, not only was i picked up from the hotel in a shiny limo (NOT!) simon's subaru will do... we went to dinner at place called 'topolinas' (crap name) in st. kilda!! to have a chicken risotto, nick had the chips, and simon the pizza... all the tunes of reminiscing 'alien vs. predator' movies(topic i brought up), blogs, sal-llee ( i miss you!) and general catch up since L.F.C . (see previous blogs regarding 'lake falls creek 06')
Other highlights included:

  • Crazy kids dressed in costume at the restaurant
  • a hairdresser around the corner with the name printed on their yellow beetle ' Jack, Jack Jackie...' (i hate that song!)
  • 'Apple' Gelato
  • getting dropped home!!! haha

that and i was advised by these gentlemen to say 'this was the best night ever'... yes guys.. here it is! --- and a visit to 'apple' gelato..... WHY is it called that?? i dont think they even had apple flavour! we have 'Gelatissimo' in sydney, but heck.. call it APPLE!!! (Chris and Gwyneth did!!!!!!!)
ok

this is way too random, but in all seriousness (if that is possible on this blog) i enjoyed the nite out with the boys for dinner and gelato... and laughs all round (should i expect anything less!?) which makes for a nice end to an otherwise dreary melbourne/ wet/cold day!!! Thanks!!!

Snakes on a Plane!

Ok Peeps,
i've been waiting for an hour (flight was delayed) at Sydney Domestic Airport... i have 3 dozen krispy kreme donuts in hand just waiting to be nabbed by the hungriest/ greediest store visit/ staffers around!!

Heading to Melbourne.. and well, there are no snakes on this plane (hope not) and well, this article cracks me up!!

I cant wait to see Samuel L Jackson liven up the B grade movie scene with such an original title of a movie! http://www.smh.com.au/news/film/scales-drop-off-as-snakes-hit-the-screen/2006/08/23/1156012611213.html

Anyhoo, I wanted to thank Jo for posting her comment onmy previous post.. i know i didnt do the blog entry justice in relation to our adventure... so in good spirits i list the highlights of the trip... (in chronological order)

  1. Pancakes at the Commie house! (with a commie mug- straight from Russia!)
  2. Hanging out with Jo on the roadtrip! What a glorious sunny day!
  3. Deciding what to do and missing several turnoffs to see the new 'road' on the coast/ floating freeway thing near Bulli
  4. Arriving in Berry to enjoy the sun, homewares shops and local yocals
  5. Cool Bookstore that Jo bought several great children's book for her work (in councselling traumatised refugee children- what a challenging job!)
  6. GREAT DONUTS (see pic)
  7. FUN ALL ROUND :)

Ok, flight finally leaving! will post again soon!!!

ADVENTURE with JO!

Ok peeps,
more adventures!
from a spontaneous SMS encounter from Jo, suggesting an ADVENTURE for Saturday.... the other nite (i think it was Tuesday nite?)

I was SO excited.. Adventure? Yes! But what would we do? Having spent time on a cruisey roadtrip with Jo years ago in NZ (so cool) its been that long since we have adventured out of the city together... so i knew we were planning some time out for some fun, chit-chattin on the drive and enjoying the scenery...

where did we go?? I suggested Berry and Jo was thinking the same thing! It was confirmed ;)

Why? Because Jo and I share a very special bond over tea/ scones (devonshire tea for those in the know) and grandmas and local jams/ country town knitwear etc etc etc.

We had an awesome time heading south... via all the southern coastal towns and visiting the local beachsides :)

Basically, we went to Berry, went nuts in a couple of the shops ( i bought a ladder- for display only!- will feature in another blog...) and Jo and I enjoyed great chats, reveiwing this AWESOME book called 'Capture, 30 days of Inspiration'... book by Amanda Powell... very inspirational for the creative bugs that we are! It captures different things that we can do each day to foster ' creative kindness' into our world... even when we're in the midst of 'life' and busy-ness... which so often plagues us!

Anyhoo... one of the features of the visit was passing by the Kiama BLOWHOLE> now, i know.... i thought the same... who cares that there is a giant rock with a hole in it and occasionally the sea waters rise up, and WHOOSHKA, they burst out of the hole and creates some kind of awesome 'natural fireworks' (quote: Jo) ... it was quite funny... and lots of oohing and ahhing... (picture featured not author's own... ;0) as we went there during the nite, all was very quiet except for the purr of hip/hop R&B from some yocal hooligans in their white holden... DUDES- dont U know there are laws against disrupting the enjoyment of the Blowhole Extravaganza? without the need for 'i'm so sick of love songs... '... crap crap crap (dont get me wrong, i actually quite like R&B AND Hiphop, but not blaring out of a car in a carpark!-- not since year 12 anyways! :P)

anyways... that was my only 'goolie' about that adventure!

Other than a fantastically expensive visit to a restaurant in gerringong... with vegie stack for the Jo at hand, we managed to share some awesome stories, and just enjoyed each other's company.

anyhooo.... glad i could share that with you!

I am sure there will be another visit to Berry in the future!! (We didnt make it to the local 'Sweets Creamery...'... :( but will next time!) yay! (i didnt get to buy any jam....)

I love the GC/Brisvegas!!

Hiya,
for all my imaginary/ real 'cyberspace' friends that may occasionally tap in to read this ever so educational blog on the minivan... where have i been?

i've just gotten back from my business trip to GC/Brisvegas... now, i know everyone has some kind of weird concept of those banana benders, but you know what? its SOOO nice up there! This was my 2nd trip, and 1st trip up there on my own just cruisin the streets for DSE and other electronic's stores, and well, the SUN was shining, it was SO nice! Work was really fun! And in fact, our sales are doing well up there... great feedback! and we're battling it with aussiegrown conglomerate... telstra!

anyhooo... aside from van taking on the big guys (being such a little person and all)

...

needless to say, i am quite tired from the trip, and was SO relieved that there was actually a BATHTUB in the hotel!!!! Southbank was actually quite a nice little place... anyhoo... just plain excited there was a bath... (makes such a difference!)

... these trips i can tend to go on the lazy/ easy / not enough time to grab something decent to eat excuse... i had 3 divine fresh cinnamon donuts for lunch today (so nutricious!) oooh, the girl even undercharged me... (i saved 10c!!) and gave me 3 instead of 2 (i ordered 2...) because she said they turned out a 'bit' smaller!?! what the? they looked fine to me... and i was just excited because i think it was finally 'my day' with the donuts!!! haha...

ok, enough rambling for now, will post photos of random things soon!!

xoxo

ok... i couldnt wait.. here is a random picture of some woman being dressed in krispy kremes? what the? (looks like NYC?)

Snow Adventure with the Peeps #3 (Finale!)

what the freak??!!! haha

Ok Peeps,
its the final installation of the trilogy that was "Lake Falls Creek 06". Now. its FULL of shenanigans and crazy pictures (like you would have come to expect from this random chit chat with the chongy) site.

Enjoy the highlights!
  • More car crazies! and Sal-lee lights up!! (posed)
  • More antics with crashing a 'lodge' aka 'RipaRoo' to watch the 1st hour of the final moments of BB06 on channel 10 (remember no channel 10 was avail in the lodge we were in, so we visited unsuspecting patrons to hang in their 'tv games room' and their pet stuffed 'bambi' on the wall"... and hanging out with giant snowmen!
  • More visits to stinky countryside 'op shop' called 'breath easy'... let me tell you, it was anything but!! (and a store called ' great stuff?'-- WHAT THE FREAK!?)
  • More silly poses with Sudoku (the panda) with guest appearances by Ned Kelly (replica of himself) and look alikes (10points if you spot the midgets in ned kelly synthetic helmets)
  • what more could you want????!!!!

giant snowmen and midget chong/ whitey in replica

Rip- a ROO! the land of channel 10 and Big brother finale... (yay - note sarcasm) and self-welcomed the tanner/ fung combo...
inside the lodge! channel 10!
a nervous looking sal-lee... the parents of the annoying kids chatting to us in the 'games' room may find out!!! haha...
however, it didnt take long for sal-lee to warm to the local residents of 'rip-a-roo'

si-mon & van-nee enjoying the company of a fellow 'deer'...

meanwhile... on the road back to melb...

sal-lee pretends to smoke while driving....

we definately didnt 'breathe easy' in this shop!!! but we tried!
dont know if that was actually true... but thought it was funny... just across the road from 'breathe easy'-- the irony!

Spot Ned!! Glenrowan will never be the same again...

go the 'chopper' pose!!

zany..

this one... notice how 'normal' it is... because someone volunteered to take a pic for us!! haha
Ned dolls!! yeehar!

sal-lee stealing my camera to take a picture of the van-nee hitting 'the jake wall'.....

Epilogue:
Ok... after an evening back at the Tanner Ranch.. 1 final night of the fold out couch! thanks Tanners! much appreciated!! while the sal-lee sulked in the lounge room because jack & bonnie didnt exit the 'tanner aquarium' for the evening... bummer dude... Also after another re-visit/ viewing pleasure of Sal-lee's new favourite show 'Undeclared' ... and my favourite 'Frat' episode... ' its the one that looks like a 'boob with a bow-tie' (theta sign!)-- ok, guess you just have to watch it....

the tears came... well, not really, but it was the last nite with the tanner for a while... the final parting. I know that i crapped on before in my early entries of this blog about sal-lee and i sounding like a married couple in the rangies... but now, the reality had hit... the separation was ny.... sal-lee was going to perth the next day... and welll... ive headed back to the rangies.... without a physical presence of the tanster herself, but with a fistful of memories!! (what? am i talking about!?)... anyways, that was 'Deep' Minivan.
Here... NOw... Im flying....
(this was probably taken mid flight over wagga or something...)

The end. (for now)

Snow Adventure with the Peeps #2

Chairlift Cheesies!

Lake Falls Creek! Its so Beautiful!

More Chairlift madness!

This isnt our skiddoo- snowmobile.. thought it would be funny to sit on it and take a pic!

As you can probably guess, i am revealing the best of the best (or all) of the photos in an incremental/ chronological order of the 'Lake Falls Creek' 06 adventure.. in an attempt to reveal slowly... the whole development of the crazy week! and... makes for great photos and helps me to think of a topic!! Other than spending a wonderful weekend hanging out with friends from my previous church 'vineyard' ... i have been enjoying vego delights during the week with Jatin and Jo (different times for different vegetarians!) ringing Sal-lee to update her that i have got the Rangies under wraps and well, its been good!

Here are some more funny pics for your viewing pleasure ... Feel Free to leave funny comments!

Sal-Lee always enjoys being in the 'background' in photos-- i never really know what she's doing behind me! Good times!

This guy was hilarious-- he obviously was from Europe somewhere.. "Karl" he stood underneath the chairlifts and sang with his piano accordian... thought we'd stop by and grab a chuckle and a photo! :)

Si-mon & Sal-lee are two of the best people to have fun with!! Guaranteed Tanner Madness!!!! I love these photos!!

More madness to come with the trip back!! xoxo
