ADVENTURE with JO!

Ok peeps,
more adventures!
from a spontaneous SMS encounter from Jo, suggesting an ADVENTURE for Saturday.... the other nite (i think it was Tuesday nite?)

I was SO excited.. Adventure? Yes! But what would we do? Having spent time on a cruisey roadtrip with Jo years ago in NZ (so cool) its been that long since we have adventured out of the city together... so i knew we were planning some time out for some fun, chit-chattin on the drive and enjoying the scenery...

where did we go?? I suggested Berry and Jo was thinking the same thing! It was confirmed ;)

Why? Because Jo and I share a very special bond over tea/ scones (devonshire tea for those in the know) and grandmas and local jams/ country town knitwear etc etc etc.

We had an awesome time heading south... via all the southern coastal towns and visiting the local beachsides :)

Basically, we went to Berry, went nuts in a couple of the shops ( i bought a ladder- for display only!- will feature in another blog...) and Jo and I enjoyed great chats, reveiwing this AWESOME book called 'Capture, 30 days of Inspiration'... book by Amanda Powell... very inspirational for the creative bugs that we are! It captures different things that we can do each day to foster ' creative kindness' into our world... even when we're in the midst of 'life' and busy-ness... which so often plagues us!

Anyhoo... one of the features of the visit was passing by the Kiama BLOWHOLE> now, i know.... i thought the same... who cares that there is a giant rock with a hole in it and occasionally the sea waters rise up, and WHOOSHKA, they burst out of the hole and creates some kind of awesome 'natural fireworks' (quote: Jo) ... it was quite funny... and lots of oohing and ahhing... (picture featured not author's own... ;0) as we went there during the nite, all was very quiet except for the purr of hip/hop R&B from some yocal hooligans in their white holden... DUDES- dont U know there are laws against disrupting the enjoyment of the Blowhole Extravaganza? without the need for 'i'm so sick of love songs... '... crap crap crap (dont get me wrong, i actually quite like R&B AND Hiphop, but not blaring out of a car in a carpark!-- not since year 12 anyways! :P)

anyways... that was my only 'goolie' about that adventure!

Other than a fantastically expensive visit to a restaurant in gerringong... with vegie stack for the Jo at hand, we managed to share some awesome stories, and just enjoyed each other's company.

anyhooo.... glad i could share that with you!

I am sure there will be another visit to Berry in the future!! (We didnt make it to the local 'Sweets Creamery...'... :( but will next time!) yay! (i didnt get to buy any jam....)
